I bought the washer/dryer set. The signal that lets you know your clothes are dry stopped working. I called and the company ran a check test over the phone and told me how to fix it.. I had accidentally turned it off. I love my washer and dryer.

I purchased the dryer new from Lowes and it did not work. The door latch system indicated the door was open when it was actually shut. This caused the system not to run. We called LG for repair and they offered compensation and sent a technician out about 5 days later to repair.

Only speed dry works. Dryer stops after a few minutes and displays error code. We followed the guidelines as told and still it keeps doing this. If we use speed dry setting in 20 - 30 minute increments we finally get clothes dry.

Experience ruined by a faulty door switch

ScottinNY 7/10/2023

Now that its fixed the dryer is great its fast easy to use huge capacity plays a little song when its finished but when it arrived it had a faulty door switch. Was able to install the plug and hook it up the vent everything seemed to be good but every time I hit start which I got a double ding. When I went on the support chat person walked me through a whole bunch of stuff but at no point did he mention that a double ding means that the door isnt registered as being shut despite me asking several times what the double ding indicates. Afterward figured out myself that it was the door switch and was able to put a small piece of plastic over the switch so that when I closed the door it pushed down hard enough that it registered that it closed. The soonest repair appointment that they could offer was five days later and it was literally a five minute fix to swap it out with a good one. So negatives are 1 Faulty door switch 2 LG lacks sufficient staff to service their warrantee claims promptly 3 Online support desk incapable of troubleshooting what should have been blindingly obvious double beep = door not registering as closed. Only thing that really capable of doing is saying that they are sorry. Positive is that its a great dryer as shame a cheap part caused so much aggravation.

The reason for 4 stars is the normal sensor never gets a full load completely dry. I use the heavy duty sensor and it does. Seems that normal would guarantee it to dry. Other than that it is excellent dryer and would purchase again. We will see how long it last.

Horrible Lemon wont even start

Brand new and the delivery guys left and the dryer panel turns on but the dryer wont start LG is NOT helpful and Home Depot is telling me 3 weeks before a replacement can be sent out. This thing is a LEMON and I will never ever again by an LG product. The manual is for like 6 different versions so no help there. This thing is a lemon and I wouldnt recommend this product for anyone. If customer service was helpful or would send someone out or help me troubleshoot then maybe 2 stars but nope they said call Home Depot and get a new one. I am now a single mom stuck trying to find a laundry mat and pay more money for 3 weeks until a new one can be delivered. So not professional or right. Make sure whoever installs this junk tests it with you present and its working before you accept the delivery. This is absolutely junk.

Worst buying experience of my life

This dryer is awful It was nonfunctional from day one And still at only a month old just as horrible LG refuses to replace this machine. They insist that a brand new machine has to be fixed with a change in a whole new panel So rather than stand behind their product they will insist on fixing a lemon They refuse to stand behind their product and they do not have a care in the world that my family has been without a dryer for weeks I will never again purchase anything from LG. It has been a horrendous experience Complete nightmare I would not recommend their products to anyone ever

Not happy with drying capability

I bought this dryer because I had an LG in my previous home. I find that I always have to add minutes to finish drying anything. Also it starting making loud clunking sounds just before the year warranty came up but I have had no luck in getting anyone to schedule an appointment. The people refer me to the website and the website tells me to call a number.

Probably the worst dryer Ive used.

This dryer is probably the worst Ive used especially for the money. I truly regret purchasing it and the LG washer. It wont dry properly. Even if you add more time it keeps stopping because it detects that everything is dry but in reality its not. In addition the lowest heat setting doesnt seem to be low at all. Some things are meant to be dried on low heat so its ruining laundry by being too hot. Dont purchase it. Youre better off buying something cheap. One more thing. I was taking time to write this and to enter a $500 giveaway I was emailed about. But after Ive done everything at the bottom it prompts me to state I received the product free or at a discounted price for this review. Unfortunately I purchased it and its underhanded to try to get me to say I got it free or discounted just to enter a giveaway.
