Sleeping in the ruts!

Purchased this mattress in May 2016. My wife and I are both average size (less than 180 lb) side sleepers. We found this mattress to be very comfortable initially, but within 6 - 8 months after owning it, I noticed a permanent "rut" was forming on my side of the bed. We have rotated the mattress many times in the years since, with the ruts getting deeper and more pronounced. If I lay in the center of the mattress, it is still as firm and flat as when new, but that isn't an option with two people.
It is not unbearably uncomfortable, but we have finally purchased an organic latex/hybrid replacement. Given the very short period that this mattress held up, I would not recommend it.

The bed took approximately 6 weeks to arrive. In the meantime I was very nervous that I had ordered the "not so perfect" bed, mainly because it's a costly purchase (the serta icomfort line is a little spendy) and not viewing one before ordering.
However, upon arrival (which was actually placed in our neighbor's garage but we were able to retrieve it) I was VERY pleased. I ordered the king hybrid firm cf2000 and I had read many reviews saying this bed was rock hard. I beg to differ with those reviews, this bed is firm but has a wonderful cloud like feeling on top. I can't wait to sleep on it tonight.
I will provide an update after a few weeks of sleep.

Bought this mattress in 2017 because of its claim of duel support! Memory foam and coils combine to give a firm but comfortable nights sleep! Seemed firm when we got it but after two years we noticed breakdown/sinkholes
where each of us lay!!! Now it is four years old and I can not sleep on it because it gives me a back ache!!! I could hardly roll over in bed because you sink down in to the mattress! If this is what Serta considers firm, I don't need it! Also the cost of the set was about $2400! We thought we were getting something that we would enjoy for years but that turned out not to be the case!

We decided to try this mattress on a trial period to determine if its provide our expected support and firmness need for our backs. Understanding that around 21-30 days are needed to have an adequate level of adjustment, we had experience that after 10 days we can see the benefit. We would continue our test for another 60 days to confirm this the right mattress for our back problems.

This bed is absolutely horrible. It feels very FIRM like a brick! There is nothing cooling about this mattress. I bought a king size bed and spent over $2,400 to be in pain every day.
I am very upset. Please do not make the same mistake I did. I am up at 3am because I cannot sleep on this terrible mattress.

This is our first non-spring mattress and I didn't know what to expect. I have been pleased with the amount of firmness (without being "hard") and the cooling technology has been doing it's job in July! Delivery was earlier than promised and professionally done.

I love that I'm no longer waking up hot. My previous foam mattress kept me hot all year round. This is a very firm mattress to me even though I've slept on firm mattresses for the past 40 years. I have an adjustable base and my husband and I just can't sleep on this laying flat, we have to raise the base in order for our backs not to hurt. While I have stenosis there is absolutely nothing wrong with my husband's back and even he can't sleep on it laying flat. If we didn't have the adjustable base this would have received a 2 for comfort.
In summary, if you don't have an adjustable base I don't recommend this mattress - try one that is less firm with the cooling gel. Wish I had gotten the 3000 or 4000 now.

So far this mattress has been great. I noticed that, after a few days, that mattress became even more comfortable. It is soft and comforting. We did put a mattress cover on our bed. I am wondering if this is hampering the cooling effect/tech of the mattress. Nevertheless, this product has led us to both receive better quality sleep every night. We looked around before making a purchase and the price was reasonable as well.

This mattress has changed my life. I didn't realize how much I was waking up in the middle of the night on my old, uncomfortable mattress. We've been sleeping on this for a few weeks now and we both really love it. It is pretty firm, which is what we both like, but it provides support as well. I can see that it might not be the best mattress for people who don't like firm mattresses, but it's perfect for us. It is very sturdy and nicely constructed. It took forever to ship to us, but overall, I'm a huge fan so far!

I have chronic back pain and need a firm mattress. This mattress is so comfortable I can't even form a coherent sentence when I wake up. I haven't woken up with back pain since the night this baby got delivered. I feel like I'm on a cloud every single night. My senior husky dog LOVES this bed, and gives me sad boy eyes on the nights when I want to take up the entire bed! Husky and human approved. Very very comfortable

Purchased the Serta Iseries Hybrid mattress and the first night sleeping on it I absolutely fell in love. It's a 13.5 inch mattress with a cooling gel on top which is fantastic for a hot sleeper like myself. The support between a traditional inner spring and memory is truly amazing, especially to someone with hip problems like myself. The medium firmness is a perfect a match but also love the softness as well. It's the best of both worlds. I have not slept this good and uninterrupted in years. The mattress jus molds to your body, but not to much where you feel sunken in or stuck. I dont wake up multiple times a night now from feeling movement from my partner. We love our mattress so much, even my 3 year always wants to sneak in our bed as she says "Its the best bed ever." I totally agree with her. Best purchase ever!!

The only way I can describe this serta mattress is AMAZING. It's very comfortable, to me it molds to ypur body for comfort. This was my first time getting any SERTA product, and I now know there is definitely a difference in the brands of mattresses and the comfort as well. This particular mattress will help in the summer time keeping you cooler while your sleeping, we all know no-one wants to wake up in the middle of the night hot and sweaty. So my advise if your looking for cooler and comfort, please check this one out.

I have finally found the most comfortable ever. It's not too soft or too hard. It has helped out my husband's Snooring and helping my back out. It's nice to sleep more than 2 hours at a time.

I was a little concerned with getting a firm mattress. I wanted the support but was scared of it being too hard and uncomfortable. This is the most comfortable mattress ever! It provides firm support but not so firm that you wake up hurting. I love the material it's made from as, when you lay on it, you sink just enough to be comfortable, but when you get up it bounces right back to its original shape. It feels so luxurious - like you're sleeping on a cloud. It also keeps you cool at night so you don't sweat. It is made from very good quality material so I think it will last a very long time. I would definitely purchase this for my other rooms in different sizes and would very highly recommend to someone looking for a well-made quality mattress. It definitely lives up to the image of the brand name.

I Like a firm bed for my back but always felt like they were not as comfortable as I wanted. Because this bed is a hybrid it has a soft top with a firm base and it is the perfect combination. The bes is nice to sleep in and just relax in. I feel like this is made from high-quality materials from the base to the top silky bed cover layer. I live in Nevada and it is always warm here and I also felt like this bed stayed cooler than other beds I have had in the past. I also thought the delivery process of ordering online was nice and felt like the bed was handled well. I also like how thick the bed is and it can even be used without the base and used as-is. I really love this bed and will enjoy sleeping on it for years to come and would recommend to anyone who likes a firm bed.

The Serta iComfort CF2000 mattress is absolutely amazing and hands down the best mattress on which I have ever had the luxury to sleep. Even though it is considered a firm mattress, it is the most supportive and comfortable mattress I've ever had. I've noticed with most memory foam mattresses that I wake up feeling hot and stuffy, but the cooling feature on this mattress eliminates this completely. I was worried that after putting sheets on, that the cooling feature would not be felt, but this thankfully isn't the case. I was also pleasantly surprised by the way in which the mattress seemed to erase any pressure that is typically felt on my shoulders, hips and knees when sleeping on my side. It truly feels like I'm sleeping on a cloud. My husband, who has lower lumbar issues, stated that after sleeping on this mattress, he has been able to wake up with zero back pain. Highly recommended, especially to those who have been leery about switching to a memory foam mattress. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!!

The iComfort cf2000 hybrid firm mattress is very firm, but comfortable. The mattress is very well made. I can tell that it will keep its firmness, and last me for years to come. Sleeping on this mattress puts me in a deep sleep, and I wake up pain-free. It has a stylish, removable zippered cover that can be washed which is a plus. I suffer from night sweats, but this mattress has kept me cool and comfortable at night, and I like the fact that I don't sink into the bed. When my children are in the bed, I'm not disturb by their movement at all! I'm really enjoying the iComfort cf2000 hybrid firm mattress. Highly recommended if you like a firm comfortable mattress!

I received my Queen size CF2000 hybrid firm mattress about a week ago. The first night in a long time I have had a good night sleep. The bed is firm and not to hard. I was very satisfied with quality of the mattress. The best experience I have had on memory foam. I thought I would sink in to one side but I was totally so wrong. I have recommend this mattress to my family and friends. It keeps my back from being sore when I wake up in the morning. I thank you so much.

This mattress is the best by far! It makes you feel like you are sleeping on a cloud. The gel keeps you cool and adds a lot of cushion to the firm bed. The firmness is just right and the best thing is, you can't feel anyone moving around next to you. The mattress is much taller than any mattress I have seen and is very heavy. Can you fall in love with a mattress? Yes! The medium firmness gives lots of support, it's perfect for back and shoulder pain. The coolness helps you fall asleep fast and stay asleep. My only regret is not getting the king size. 5 stars isn't enough!

I just got this bed a couple weeks ago and its amazing. I didn't know a bed could be so comfy. Its a firm mattress but with the memory foam it conforms to you body in all the right ways. Its a very cool mattress so I haven't been waking up with the night sweats. The only thing I can say bad about is that when you first get the mattress it has this very chemical smell about it that takes a couple of days for it to go away. Overall this is a great comfy bed and I'm so glad I got it.

I sleep on my stomach so my back hurts a lot. I decided I needed to get a firm mattress to see if that would help my back pain. So far so good. This mattress is definitely firm but still has the softness to it. The mattress is well made and is a great looking mattress. It seems to be a win win for me.

I really love this mattress. It is the best mattress I have ever slept on. It's so comfortable and cozy that I never want to get off of it. I have even been sleeping more peacefully. It's nice and firm but also feels plush and soft at the same time and I really love it. The quality is great and it supports my whole body. This is by far the best mattress I have ever had. I received this mattress on a Monday and by Wednesday I was hooked. What a great product. The mattress kind of molded to my body. Kept me cool all night long. I like a supportive mattress that keeps me cool. I couldn't wait to get to sleep on my new mattress. It felt so comfortable. Finally after using, I realized how much I loved it. It seemed like my body is made for this firm mattress. It sleeps so comfortable. I have never had a mattress with the thickness of this one. Its support is so good. You don't even need box springs. That is a benefit in itself.

I have been waking up with back aches for several months and after realizing my mattress is13 years old, knew it was time for a new one. Mattresses have come a long way since our last purchase and these new foam ones are incredible. Still fairly firm, yet has the foam cushion outer layer. I am really enjoying sleeping on this and wish I would have changed it a while ago!

I have only had this mattress a week or so but I must say this is the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on. I have a bad back and neck and after sleeping on it for one night I feel a tremendous difference. I got a full nights sleep and woke up feeling amazing. It is made from carbon fiber memory foam and gel active max memory foam which helps draw away heat and promote airflow. It is very firm but very comfortable. It is heavy and very well made. I would reccomend this to anyone looking for a better nights sleep because it's the best I've ever slept on.

Omg! What can I say about this mattress? I feel like I won the lottery. This mattress is a joy, it's got a cool top so you won't swear at night. It's nice and firm for good posture. Serta mattress is everything they say it is and more. I can get over how nice and comfortable it is. I'm so, so pleased with it that I've told everyone I know about it. I bought this mattress for our son about a month ago. The combination of springs and memory foam is so comfy! I fall asleep within minutes if I lay down on it. It is cool overnight, the support is ridiculous and perfectly firm. The delivery was perfect, and I DEFINITELY recommend this mattress.

The Serta iComfort is great for those who live in desert climates and need to keep cool. I typically had a fan on when I slept, but find it's unnecessary thanks to this mattress. When I first received it, I pressed my hand into the fabric, and you can really feel the gel's effects as well as the memory foam. I chose firm because I thought it would be better for my back. Ever since receiving this mattress, I haven't woken up with any aches or pains. I will however forewarn those who are used to plush or pillow top mattresses because you're not going to sink into the foam. If you want to feel like you're sleeping on a cloud, this isn't the mattress for you. This mattress is very sturdy and keeps your body in place at night. I tend to toss and turn, but don't on the iComfort. It's comfortable for a firm mattress. You can tell by the quality, it's very high-end and seems like it will last for years. The design on the top fabric is also pretty artistic, which I haven't seen before.

I have been sleeping on this hybrid for almost a week now. Hands down best one I ever slept on! I have back problems and leg problems. After sleeping on this mattress I don't wake up hurting or tried! I actually sleep all night now. That's a big plus with me!
